The shortest month of the year is over and hasn’t it gone quick! Although February was a short month a lot seemed to have happened, let’s take a look back:
The #Weather was on everyone’s mind towards the end of February with Snow and freezing temperatures effecting the majority of the UK. We’re based down South and we haven’t seen snow for 6 or 7 years but in February this year we received plenty! We’d love to hear some of your snow stories, how was the #Weather where you were?
In February we had the #CarabaoCupFinal where Arsenal took on Manchester City. I think most people thought there was only 1 outcome and that proved to be the case. If you watched the #CarabaoCupFinal you would have heard Gary Neville’s view on Arsenal’s display and not a lot of fans could argue with the points/statements he raised. Manchester City were victorious and this was Pep’s first piece of silverware since joining Manchester City, how many cups is he going to pick up this season?
The #WinterOlympics has been going on throughout February. We had some great spectacles across the 2018 #WinterOlympics. Norway finished the Olympics with a total of 39 medals leading the way in the medal count table. Great Britain finished with just 1 gold medal and 4 bronze medals. After watching the #WinterOlympics you have to give it to the athletes who take part, many injuries, a lot of heartbreak and a lot of setbacks. We’re already looking forward to the next #WinterOlympics!
In February we sadly heard the story of the shooting in a #FloridaSchool in America. 17 people were killed in the shooting and many more injured. A very sad day for the state of Florida and the world with many of the victims being young students. Many people say the shooting was able to happen because of Americas relaxed gun control laws. How many more incidents like this will need to happen for America to take action?
The 2018 #ChineseNewYear day was on Friday, February 16, 2018 in China's time zone. This day was the new moon day of the first Chinese lunar month in the Chinese Lunar Calendar system. This year see’s the #YearOfTheDog in the #ChineseNewYear.
