We’ve now passed the half way point of the year and it’s safe to say that June didn’t quite deliver the Summer we were expecting. Nevertheless, a lot went on so let’s take a look back:
In the middle of June the South of England (and some other parts) experienced a #lightning show during the night aswell as thunderstorms. Although it can seem a little scary some of the pictures and videos that were shared on Twitter were quite amazing. If you didn’t get a chance to see the pictures then we suggest you have a look back through Twitter.
The #WomensWorldCup kicked off in June and we’ve already seen some great matches. It’s also great to see the increasing number of viewers, coverage and fans of the Women’s game. The final of the #WomensWorldCup takes place in July so in our next post we will be congratulating the winners of the #WomensWorldCup.
#DonaldTrump made a controversial state visit at the start of June where he visited the Royals and the Prime Minister. His arrival was met with protests across London and the UK to where he was definitely made to feel a little unwelcome. During his visit and on his flight over he made a little (maybe not so little) jibe at the Major of London. What did you make of #DonaldTrumps visit?
Unless you’re living under a rock as there’s no escape from it on Twitter and other social media platforms, #LoveIsland kicked off this series in June. Before the show started there was a lot of attention paid to mental health and life after the Villa which is great. It will be interesting to see what the reality of that support is after the show finishes. There has been a lot of talk to whether this show is as good as previous years as there always is but I think fans are beginning to warm to some of the contestants this year. It will certainly be an interesting Summer that’s for sure!
It was no secret that #EdSheeran was releasing a new album full of collaborations but previous images shared by him had the featured artists blurred out/hidden so we couldn’t see. In the middle of June though #EdSheeran finally revealed who he has collaborated with and fans were definitely not disappointed.
